The Antiques Roadshow has valued a six inch-long cigar once smoked by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill at £800 (about $1300 in American dollars).

WWII veteran Ronald Williams obtained the cigar when he served as a butler to Churchill, who was a lifelong cigar enthusiast, during the Casablanca Conference, a European war strategy meeting between Churchill, President Roosevelt, and other Allied leaders in 1943.

“Placecards bearing the names of the world leaders taken with the cigar from the conference combined with Mr. William senior’s testimony helped the authentication of the cigar,” says the U.K.’s Telegraph.

Williams gave the heirloom to his grandson Christian in 1987, and he has kept the cigar in safe keeping in a wooden box ever since.

“I’ve never dared to touch it and never picked it out of its box, it’s far too precious to me,” said the cigar’s owner.
